Stop renting
your website.
Own it.

I build websites and digital systems for businesses that have outgrown templates, closed platforms, and websites that no longer match the company behind them.

The design should fit the business — not the builder. The whole chain stays under your control.

I've been trapped too.

You can build something, invest in it, depend on it — and then discover that leaving means rebuilding everything, paying forever, or asking permission to change your own business.

I hate that model.

So I won't build it for somebody else.

If I build your website or digital platform, I want you to understand what you own, where it lives, who controls the accounts, and what happens if someday you decide you don't need me anymore.

If you want ongoing help, great. If you want to learn routine updates yourself, I'll teach you. If your team will manage it, I'll build around that.

The relationship should continue because I'm useful — not because I've trapped you.

Every website
has a job.

A music company and an animal-care platform should not look alike. Neither should a law firm, a title company, a transportation company, or HH Web Studio.

Different jobs.Different systems.Same standard.

Good design isn't about using the most technology. It's about using the right technology for the job.

HH Web Studio Designed for clarity.

You're looking at it: one page. Static. Source-controlled. Portable. No CMS, database or backend because this job doesn't need them.

Victory Voice Media Designed for depth.

A public creative experience backed by the operating systems needed to run the business behind it.

Critterfolio Designed for scale.

A free lifetime-continuity platform built around durable records, privacy, authority and long-term growth.

Victory Voice Media

Story-driven music and media platform

Homepage studyLive platform ↗

Victory Voice Media needed more than a brochure website. The public experience has to make the work feel human and story-driven while the business behind it manages clients, projects, catalog operations, payments and delivery.

The result is a bespoke creative-business platform: polished on the surface, operationally deep underneath.

Under the hood

Owner Command Center, CRM and business-development workflows, Client Studios, catalog administration, protected APIs, D1-backed operational data, R2 media storage, publishing workflows, and Stripe Checkout and invoice integration.

Designed for

Depth — bespoke workflows, commerce, content and client operations

Core principle

Deep operational systems should disappear behind a clear client-facing experience.

Critterfolio

Lifetime continuity-of-care records for animals

A will can tell someone who gets an animal.

Critterfolio tells them who that animal is.

Critterfolio live platform showing animal family records, care notes, memories and story continuity
Live platform · lifetime continuity-of-care for animals

Critterfolio is a free lifetime-continuity platform built around one permanent entity: the animal. Homes, caregivers, rescues, fosters and adopters can change without erasing who that animal is or what future care depends on.

The core lifetime record is designed to remain free while the architecture is built for high-volume adoption, long-lived records and safe transitions.

Under the hood

PostgreSQL canonical records, provenance-first history, rescue/foster/adoption lifecycle, granular authorization, private R2 media architecture, revocable emergency QR access, exports, an installable PWA shell, and provider-independent backend boundaries.

Designed for

Scale — privacy, continuity, durable identity and high-volume growth

Core promise

The core lifetime record stays free. Animal history does not belong behind a paywall.

I don't start
with a template.

I start with the business.

Who needs to use it? What do they need to understand? What should happen next? What should the owner still control five years from now?

  1. UnderstandWhat is actually broken?
  2. StructureWhat needs to exist — and what doesn't?
  3. DesignMake the experience fit the business.
  4. BuildOwnable from day one.
  5. TestMake sure it actually works.
  6. Hand overNothing held hostage.

Designer · builder · direct point of contact

I was introduced to coding when I was twelve, but I was shaped just as much by forty years in Montana — the Last Best Place. I spent sixteen years commuting from Lincoln to Helena over Flesher Pass and have logged more than a million miles behind the wheel.

Montana teaches you to show up, adapt when conditions change, do the work, and mean what you say. Weather changes. Plans change. Technology changes. The standard doesn't.

That probably explains some of the language around here. It definitely explains the standards.

I work directly with the people whose businesses I'm building for. No account-manager relay. No mystery development team. No holding your website hostage after launch.

Full transparency. Integrity. No bullshit.

that should
work better?
